Why the fuck would you like pokemon for any other reason than the best moments of the anime, nostalgia, or the design?

The game is boring as fuck and I don't get how any people like it anymore. It's got a below-mediocre battle system, ugly graphics, and it's generally just a boring game.

I assumed it wasn't as much "their" pokemon as it were pokemon belonging to their family (Or nearby daycare/school) that were babysitting/guarding them and the kids get overly confident.

After all most of the time they challenge you and you defend yourself while they more or less scream "I HAVE A POKEMON!".

See it as a dog walking a kid rather then the other way around.
