Those games were fucking shit. Pokemon silver was my first pokemon game and I enjoyed it, but that was because it was my first pokemon game. Johto is the worst region and they didn't even fix the level scaling problem. The music also sucks too like the dark cave music, what the fuck did they do to it?

In all honesty Hoenn has to be my favorite game. I know people like to make fun of trumpets and water but honestly I loved the ash route music, a lot of the other routes and team aqua's encounter music was catchy. Battle music sucked though and the rival was the worst so far
So the best one imo would have to go to bw2. It honestly felt like a sequel with how many pokemon you can catch and the enhanced local and online features (join Avenue is awesome). I would say X and Y but honestly it felt empty and dull like first releases usually do after beating the game
