I've never played any pokemon against another person before. The idea of doing all the breeding for perfect IV's and what not is abhorrent to me.
Been thinking of trying out pokemon showdown though, does anyone here use it? Any advice for learning or should I just dive in with shit teams and hope for the best?
To make things less vague, let's say I want to build a team around weezing, what's he good for?

As for Weezing, he exists in the NU tier, so you'd probably get the most use out of him playing in that. These are some sample sets
