Yeah but I checked and helioptile is not found in ORAS, it can only be obtained by trade or cheats… :(

That does not matter. That is not the point. The point I was making is that helioptile came out in X/Y before ORAS were announced, meaning that these similarities to the gen 3 pokemon Mawile Sluuut have been done with the intention of subtly hinting to the remakes of gen 3 games.

Oh! Okay, now I get it! That does make sense, like the fact that Slowpoke and Glalie both got a mega evolution means that the next gen remake with new megas will be 4th so that Froslass and Slowking Can have one to! (just like Gardevoir/Gallade did)
