Good point, but a third party can also parasite off of another party. In New York State there's both the Republican and Conservative party, and a candidate has to win both party primaries or else he doesn't stand a chance in the general election. I think the libertarian style subversion of Republicans might be effective for blocking a lot of kike'd legislation. But we'd need our own party in order to actually lead. Republicans have spent the past decade putting every fiber of their being into an effort to repeal Obamacare, and now, while controlling every branch of government, couldn't muster the votes to do so. The idea is to pressure the main the party and provide a voice for the most disaffected.
