I'm sure many of you have seen the entries from Patton's journal in images such as these.

Does anyone have a link to a pdf of the diary itself or a link to a full transcript?

Wew, gonna take awhile to go through all that… Anyone going to be surprised if it turns out a lot of these comments by Patton don't seem to exist/were taken out of context?

Patton was badass. The quotes circulating around the web look to be accurate.

Link?

As I said, I've seen plenty of these graphics toted around /pol/ and other places, but I'd like a full transcript or a link to a source.

Call me cynical, but I'm uncertain as to how 'badass' Patton actually was, and I'd like to see it verified.

Considering how much those graphics are pushed round here, I would hope as much.

I learned in examination of some of the surrounding material that, apparently, Patton at one point got in some trouble for saying something in the media without thinking - but what he said may not be what one would expect.

Considering the wide-spread acceptance of the "Hitler wanted to take over the world!" narrative, its rather amusing too - you see, Gen. Patton got in trouble for suggesting that the US and the UK were "destined" to "rule the world together"… But what upset people - in the media, specifically - wasn't the implication that, ya know, "White people were destined to rule the world", or anything of that sort.

No, what got Patton in trouble with the (((media))) of the time, was that he didn't included our (((allies))) the USSR in that statement.

Funny little narratives that slip through the cracks of time…

Even my grandfather told me after what he saw in the postwar aftermath and then society down the decades that we should have allied with the Nazis. He was very happy to find out General Patton thought the same thing. RIP

I don't imagine there are many men who survived that conflict who, looking upon their home countries today, would not wish they had allied with the National Socialists against the Marxist Communists, for just as Patton seemed to warn here

>"If we let Germany and the German people be completely disintegrated and starved, they will certainly fall for Communism, and the fall of Germany for Communism will write the epitaph of Democracy in the United States."

A prophet, he was, and like most who see the world around him in ways that most cannot, he offered, in closing of that entry, a very strong sentiment that I wager most on /pol/ can, at least occasionally, relate to:

>"The more I see of people, the more I regret that I survived the war."

>(((lugenpresse)))

the more things change the more they stay the same

it should be of note that (((they))) managed to demoralize a fierce man like Patton with their inane bullshit. that is something two world wars failed to do.
