You doing SS or a similar 5x5 program? Get on 8x3 for all pressing movements ASAP. Early on you can progress on ANYTHING in squat and dead, but you will stall quick and hard in bench/press on 5x5.
5x5 - popularised in America by Reg Park before becoming the massive industry it is today - is actually a prepatory/off season weight lifting program that Al Murray's British Olympic team used in the 30-40s. It's meant to acclimatize a lifter to increasingly heavier weights or as a back off program.
I'd recommend Al Murray's book which has got me to 120kg over ten years training, but last year someone posted this which is probably the best bang-for-your-buck weightlifting article on the planet:
