What is most likely going to happen is that the GOP will use every single last line of slander they can find. Every single voter that doesn't vote Trump can semi-proportionally drain his delegate count
What they are shooting for is making sure that, out of the 1049 pledged delegates, Trump gets less than 1,237 - 678, which is 595 delegates, or a bit more than 56 % of all upcoming delegates
In short, Cruz and Kasich don't even need to reserve the tide, just reach a virtual tie on the sum of all upcoming states. This can easily be achieved by focusing on high-delegate states, as happened with Texas and will happen for other states
This is why the GOP is planning ahead for this, all they have to do is tie Trump in most of the upcoming states, or even win a SINGLE strategic victory like California or Eastern Seaboard states
Once that's done, the GOP Caucus fuckery starts, and what do you know most of the delegates will change their mind behind the scene and Trump will go from a soft majority to losing
