The Marines have been a disgrace since 2008, maybe a little earlier. The biggest problem is the high turnover.used to be that Marines stayed in for a damn lot longer, and that their standards were much higher. You fucked up once your ass was out. But since the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, they've been pumping men in and out, to the point that everyone old and new worth any thing agree it's a complete shit show. I live near Camp Lejeune and I don't think a week has passed I'm since the major downsize where the flags haven't been at half-mast due to deaths involved in training excercises. This is what happens when you remove experienced soldiers from a military: you move from the most powerful military force in the world to a glorified Chinese Army. On the plus side, when the inevitable rebellion happens, civvies are more than likely going to curbstomp the military due to the overwhelming brain drain of vets.
