Why do people fantasize/condone war? Why do people think pacifism is somehow not the Christian and better man's way? Pacifism does not equal a lack of will to fight, only a natural recoiling from all violence/a natural instinct to avoid it. Pacifists will still fight for what they believe in with due provocation, even if they hate the act of violence.

I think competition on a national level can do this with less violence. Germany had plenty of innovation before WWII, Japan's not had an effective war in over a generation and they've made huge gains in robotics and electrical work that puts America to shame. A lot of our technologies today might have had a root in war way-back-when, but are being turned into completely new technogies Keep an eye on the James Webb Telescope.

The only effective war to date one could argue was the cold war, mainly because there was little actual violence E.G. it was closer to competition between the USSR and America, like I've been advocating. Even that could have taken a turn for the worse and reduced all the majir cities in the US to ash.
None of our wars since then have pitted us against an effective enemy, keeping innovation stifled in comparison to the lives lost (about 120,000 veteran suicides since the late 90s alone, and over a million Arabs, which has been the driving force/excuse for the current refugee crisis in Europe). If we did go against an "effective enemy" we'd be placing ourselves at the risk of complete and utter annihilation. Both of those seem like shitty alternatives to competition, anon.
Christians were raped, murdered, and generally persecuted for over a thousand years. I think we should be honoring Christ's words if we don't want to become like the heretics and pagans we overcame.
