The debate over usury is interesting. The only counter to the natural law argument would seem to be an argument involving the superior potential in all aspects of the lender over the borrower.

In ancient times, how did germans, romans, greeks, and jews differ in their views of individual superiority? Clearly the romans believed in the superiority of rome as a collective. The greeks seem to take up every view about every which thing among all of their societies. The germans seem to believe in individual equality and status earned by action. The jews seem to believe in their fundamental superiority due to their connection with god.

So it seems that the outlawing of usury was to please the germans and aid the assimilation of europe by christianity.

The only argument brought up in favor of the charging of interest is that it offsets the opportunity cost of the investor. Leaving everyone with functioning sense of reason waiting for hundreds or thousands of years, wondering exactly what justification there is for the investor to offset the opportunity cost.

Unfounded claims are numerous and potentially limitless. Chasing your unfounded claims and trying to find sources/citations to counter them is therefore limitlessly timewasting. Show us proof for a claim and we can talk about it or don't expect proof for counter claims.

I mean I guess my question is answered. YES, it is too much to ask for anyone to care about the truth of the matter.

Instead of taking interest in the subject which couldn't be stated more clearly, which is the determination of the origins of the jews and their development in their social roles, you focus on my guesses, which were very explicitly stated as such.

Like this is some kind of an excuse to avoid the issue and the call for actual study on a generally mysterious issue.
