It's pretty scary the amount of time and land it takes to raise cows, and then the speed at which the nation eats cows. Parents telling me in the 50s it was common to only eat meat on the Sunday, throughout the week you'd have all kinds of veg stews, garden produce and the like. Now today we have meat for mostly every dinner of the week, for lunch, and for those with time breakfast too. And then there's 60 million of us, I can't comprehend where all this food comes from tbh.

I think maybe I have recurring dreams more often than most people, just like I have generally more vivid and memorable ones more often. Sometimes they'd just repeat every night for a few weeks and haven't come back but I still remember them, sometimes they'd be spread out over a longer time, sometimes once every few years I'll have a dream I recognise as one that I had had every night for a few weeks when I was 8 or 12 or 15, and so on. There's never going to be a poll on it, but ever since I first arrived on 8chan /pol/ in 2014 I've felt the place is predominantly about the age of 15/16 for a few reasons.

One is the thread content.

If you open up any thread on the catalogue 90% of the replies are literally just people exclaiming how much they like something or how much they hate something.

There's no political discussion or tension. It's just a simple childish "OMG XD!" or "fuckkk i hate this world >>:(( " response. Threads back on 4/pol/ used to be pretty diverse by comparison. There were a fair number of communists/liberals from other supporting boards so there was always some kind of a discussion to be had like people flinging shit about whether race exists or people debating communism/Marxism.

Also, the problem on 8/pol/ is threads that promote discussion about genuine political divides are shunned/anchored regularly as "D&C".

The mods seem so scared shitless about losing their hugbox even the most minute discussion of other ideologies that don't involve muh aryan homeland or some bullshit like that are deleted and Reddited out of the catalogue.

So even if I wanted to change the board through my own work (which I've tried) it's impossible because they like things stagnant - just the way they are.

It's all very childish.

The other is the content of the average response. So much of it is pseudo-intellectual fluff. It just reeks of 15 year olds pretending to be adults.

Especially the threads about women or sex or really anything usually confined to adults.

I can trawl through hundreds of replies that just make no sense unless I put myself in the mind of a kid that's never worked before, goes to secondary/high school and mopes around with his "totally not a phase" covert edgy neo nazi memorabilia.
