This board is so slow that ist's almost dead.

LONG LIVE /POL/

Death is the termination of all biological functions that sustain a living organism. Phenomena which commonly bring about death include biological aging (senescence), predation, malnutrition, disease, suicide, homicide, starvation, dehydration, and accidents or trauma resulting in terminal injury.[1] Bodies of living organisms begin to decompose shortly after death. Death has commonly been considered a sad or unpleasant occasion, due to the termination of social and familial bonds with the deceased or affection for the being that has died. Other concerns include fear of death, necrophobia, anxiety, sorrow, grief, emotional pain, depression, sympathy, compassion, solitude, or saudade.

I'd rather stare at about:blank for hours than go to that swamp again.

The board lost some momentum over the past few days, but overall the quality of the discussion is very good. If this board was about as fast as /leftypol/, it would be perfect.

It's likely that more and more people will burn out of Trumpmania on /pol/ and find their way here over the next 6 months.

90cabe No.13941

/politics/ is now on the top boards list at the top of my screen, get rekt op

And another D/C attempt by neo/pol/tards.

Same shit you pulled on /polpol/.

We need to prevent /politics/ from going the way of /polpol/, it's comfy here

BO should consider buying an ad, but we should also put more effort. If we can sustain this level of activity or increase it, we won't have to be under /pol/ mods mercy again. Whenever /politics/ gains activity, /pol/ relaxes the rules and lifts the bans, when the activity drops, they go back to being worse than before.

MAKE /POLITICS/ GREAT AGAIN?

>This board is so slow that ist's almost dead.

Wrong. This board was great back when it had just 10 people. Do you think going from 100 odd to 80 will make it any worse?

Fuck off back to /pol/ and your idea of slide threads and shilling and consensus cracking with you.

dd882a No.14201

>>13991

>BO should consider buying an ad

No. There's already enough people. It has a decent reply rate.

We should maintain quality over quantity, and let /pol/ and /leftypol/ be the boards of the disgusting masses. /politics/ should be an elite clique.

Besides, if you leave ads people get butthurt and just come here to fuck the board up.

This board is completely stagnant. There is nothing better about this board. It's just a copy of /pol/ with a slightly different personality. Same retarded arguments. Same polarized brainwashees. Extremely sparse critical thinking.

The only good thing about it is that it's slow, so if some people who don't suck come along it might take off.

>This board is completely stagnant.

You're just used to fast boards. Ebin oldfaggots don't need that. A reply a day is good enough.

>There is nothing better about this board. It's just a copy of /pol/ with a slightly different personality.

Well, if you see nothing wrong with how /pol/ is moderated, then this place isn't for you.

The big difference is that shit isn't anchored or deleted for going against the consensus, and you are free to discuss actual ideas here without being banned.

/pol/ is an activism board at this point, not a discussion board. That's the problem with it. Every thread and post must contribute to the cause or it's a slide thread/post, or a "shill".

We can be more relaxed here and indulge in more meta level discussion about politics.

>Same retarded arguments. Same polarized brainwashees.

That's just human beings. People have ideologies. Sparse critical thinking means "doesn't agree with me".

c95433 No.14238

>>14227

I'm not saying its stagnant because it's slow. I'm saying it's stagnant because it's polluted with the same old circlejerk.

Maybe you do talk more about metapolitics, but this board is still clearly dominated with the same short-sighted thinking about insignificant issues. Without having a perspective on the broad issues and on the underlying circumstances all such talk about "news" events serves no other purpose other than to strengthen ignorance by reinforcing patterns of emotional information processing.

Where did I talk about moderation? Where do you get this from? Take this moment to realize you are not reading what I am saying but rather interpreting me as some fictional character of which you know all of his lines. Be objective. Get a grip

>Sparse critical thinking means "doesn't agree with me"

Read the above again.

Sparse critical thinking means that the vast majority of posters here express emotion not reasoning. They make wild jumps to try to support their unsubstantiated points of view with false persuasion. Simply put they would rather make assumptions than think freely. Their thought process is incoherent. While this may be common among "human beings" it is not constructive and does not serve to distinguish this board from others.

Ideology is usually mental illness. If you're not willing to make bridges to other people with supports of reason and a deck of empathy, you are just masturbating. And there is enough of that everywhere else.

I say all this assuming this board was meant to be refuge from ignorance. If it was, then it needs different leadership to achieve its purpose.

If it's not, then I guess it's just a trap meant for the few who found their way out of the main one.

This board has brit/pol/ and we don't circlejerk over the news we all read with the same boring comments every time a feminist squeals.

We also delete bullshit threads made by disinfo and Divide and Conquer shills.

You mad?

d31087 No.14257

>>14238

You sound angry and are posting things without specifying what you mean.

I could also say about you that you do stupid things and it is because you are unaware of the bigger picture and those things you do are done by emotional thought drives etc.

You are welcome to shitpost any time mate.

Best description of /pol/ I've read so far

>>14238

>I'm saying it's stagnant because it's polluted with the same old circlejerk.

This is an anonymous imageboard, dumb ass. Go create forum where you interview users before they join to make sure they live up to your standards.

>I say all this assuming this board was meant to be refuge from ignorance.

Making dumb assumptions while claiming users are dumb. kek.

Typical Dunning–Kruger effect.

>implying psychology is science

>just oozing with baseless subjectivity and "butthurt"

>jumping to conclusions for no reason other than to fit your summary judgement

You are a horror.

There is potential for this board to be good. But it needs leadership.

If this board was not meant to be a better forum, why was it created? There is no other answer.

The only way for a forum to be better is to check ignorance.

No "hard moderation" (censorship) is good. But there must be moderation. People who come here to take a shit with opinions need to be dealt with by ridicule and lack of attention.

For this to be viable we need people posting quality content and enough people who recognize quality. Reasoning = quality.

What it looks like is that if anyone posts anything thoughtful and original, it will just be shit on by people who come here to be the opinion police who live and breathe opinion and are afraid of reasoning due to their inferiority complexes.

REASONING. NEED MORE OF IT. UNDERSTAND?
