Congress cannot ban Abortion.. Roe verse Wade was a Supreme Court decision.. Congress cannot make laws that go against the law as interpreted by the courts.

But Republicans make a little noise about abortion now and then to get the fundies to turn out and vote for them..

Why didn't they do anything when they had Bases Loaded in Washington from 2001 to 2006? Both Houses of Congress and the White House. The majority of the fifty state governments. And all that happened was big-ass tax cuts, record spending, more foreign wars, historic expansions of government power and the police state, and a ruined reputation on the world stage.

And then when they started getting their asses handed to them in '06, they went around saying it was everyone else's fault but theirs. When they were the only ones in power across the board.

Is there any promise it will be any different if they get a supermajority again?
