174f11 No.6908

Mass Production requires Mass Consumption and the wages of the workers create demand.

The demand for goods creates jobs.

This cycle created America prosperity and power.

The United States is the largest market in the world for pretty much everything.

If you want to sell a product here. Make it here with American union workers.

What?

You say you cannot make the ungodly profits you have become accustomed to if you don't make your overpriced gym shoes with malnourished Asian child labor.

Then I suggest you try to sell your overpriced gym shoes to malnourished Asian children.

The end to "free trade" and government regulated partnership between capital and labor could restore the American standard of living and maintain it.

could the american industry survive just whit it's domestic demand? if not, the nationalistic economy wouldn't work

f17109 No.6933

Yes, it's better to keep things domestic.

The United States developed this way.

"Before turning to fascism, Mosley had visited America where he witnessed a higher standard of living linked to a highly developed technology. The secret he found rested on the existence of a large home market protected from the competition of low-waged imports because America was large enough geographically to become self-sufficient in food production and raw materials. Restricted immigration also maintained a shortage of labour that gave the unions more clout to push wages up to a higher standard of living for the workers, thus giving them the purchasing power to buy the goods they produced. The elimination of the need to trade with the rest of the world by being self-sufficient solved most problems.

So why not do the same with the resources of the British Empire?"

This what I like about Fascism. A thriving economy with well paid workers consuming what they makes is better than the cosplay.

Although we wouldn't love these Uniforms. (see pic)

>This what I like about Fascism.

You said US developed this way, so fascism is evidently not a requirement for implementing such policies.

Yes. We can use "fascist" economics without repressing free speech, or generally busting heads.

The main problem is people cringing when they hear the world "Nationalist" and shitting themselves in terror when they hear the word "Fascist".

Europeans, I am told, are esp. terrified of nationalism.

999d06 No.13538

Why didn't Germany's protectionist policies protect it's economy from tanking (heh) during the later stages of the war, and wasn't this same weak economy that helped bring down the NSDAP's reign?
