British Mandate Palestine was planned to become a Jewish state from the very beginning. Or does the name matter so much?

Jews have lived in Israel for 100 years now too, entire generations have been born and died there. Where do we draw the line? A large part of Americans only had their ancestors immigrate during late 19th century, what right do they have to that land? What about the American West, the lands west of Mississippi (and east of the Pacific coast) have only been seriously settled by Americans around the same time as Jews started buying land in Palestine, shouldn't those lands be returned to the injuns too then?

At this point, Jews certainly have a right to live there. What I and others argue against are bullshit rationalizations that Jews as a group had more rights to that land during the early Zionist migrations than the people who had been on that land for many generations, possibly thousands of years.

I was talking about the past, not the present. Now both Israelis (not jews around the world) and Palestinians have right to stay. And your comparison with US is invalid. Native Americans are US citizens with full rights.

All right, Levantine Arabs. They're ethnically pretty well defined, unless you want to divide them by religion. But even then, Palestinians are Sunni just like most Levantines in Syria.

"Arab Israelis" make up ~20% of Israel. If you grant the rest of Palestinains an Israelis citizenship, Israel will no longer be a Jewish state.

Because Israel wants it all, specifically the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and East Jerusalem. So long as they can continue to manipulate the United States for aid and support, they will play this out and hope that eventually all of the Palestinians are driven out to other countries.
