The thing about having unlimited boards is that we can create niches that would have been ignored in a more mainstream site like 4ch. However it also spreads us thin and makes potentially great boards inactive.

What boards would you say are essential /pol/ culture? What boards would you include in a potential /pol/ focused imageboard?

I'd probably include /pol/, /xpol/, /baphomet/, /diy/, /k/, /out/, /news/, /his/, a political literature board. But there's probably a bunch that slipped my mind.

Banned from the only board I use for criticizing a thread that cited no sources, and where the OP added false information to real information to create an obvious D&C. The vol in the thread even mentioned the same thing I mentioned. Why am I banned for this? I thought the entire reason we moved from cuckchan was so we could call out misinformation when we see it without risk of being banned for it. This saddens and disappoints me, because I defend the moderation of /pol/ as the best moderation on the site constantly. Am I wrong?

I checked the board log and found the note for the thread being bump locked but no note for it being deleted.

Admittedly the mods could've deleted the post by IP but there's really no way to confirm or deny that.

You have the bumplock, which blocks threads from being bumped so they sink to the bottom and disappear. But could you add a new feature that keeps threads from disappearing even when they have reached the bottom of the catalog?

It often takes less than 2 days for a thread to go from the top to the bottom and then disappear. And sometimes I go to sleep and 8-9 hours later I check the catalog and a thread I wanted to read is gone. It wasn't even near the bottom of the catalog but 8 hours later it's gone. It's annoying.

A 'life jacket' would keep threads from disappearing for a week or two. Many would end up floating at the bottom of the catalog but they could be bumped with news posts.

Candidates for the life jackets would be threads in which we dig for information or a worth reading debate or things like that. For example I remember an interesting thread about economics and it took me a few days to read it all and I had to bump it a few times just to keep it from disappearing.

I managed to decode the barcode at the bottom of the image into binary and I have two instances of the file, one larger than the other but the only difference is the larger one has an ICC profile header attached to it so I don't think that has much to do with it.
