Sometimes I'll sit there in an anti-Trump thread, watching the Trump shills spam nonsense pictures and sage bomb until bump lock, and I wonder if I'm the only person that is seeing that nonsense.

Trumpfucks have definitely at least bought out /pol/, that is 100% certain at this point. That or the entire site is actually just a government honeypot and Trump is who they are trying to push onto us for whatever reason.

I thinkt he reason is because Trump is to this election what Obama was to the 2008 election. The exact opposite to who is currently sitting in office. They make a candidate that is appealing to the far right, to make the far right think they are actually having their voice heard after 8 years of a president who tries to portray himself as the far left. When in fact they're all just zionist pigs who deserves the rope.

The problem is that the moderators are apathetic. The quality of the board ultimately correlates to the diligence and intelligence of the moderators.

When you have quality control like you do on the Vanguard News Network forums, then you retain intelligent posters. When your moderators are dull-witted 20-year-olds, then the board turns into crap. They're afraid or unwilling to prune low-quality threads, because they don't have a good idea about what sort of content they want on the board, or they're scared about people whining about "free speech" or whatever (as if you can't just go make another board on this site if you get banned).

I severely doubt that. Before /pol/ got overrun with movement autists last year (NRx, Alt-right, now Trump) there was never any strong evidence of shilling occuring here.

I won't say it didn't happen, because /v/ definitely started getting shilled within a few months of the migration, but I don't think it was a significant factor.
