Don't I have to break a rule in order to be banned?

I wasn't shilling anything all I did was post with a name in my thread. That's it.

I just want to know what rule I broke or how my thread was detrimental to the board. The only time I post with my name is when I post a new short story I've written for /pol/.

Before you cry "injustice!", no matter how much politics you injected into the story (if I had to guess, someone had a political view somewhere in there and their grappling with it was the story), it's nothing truly politically relevant to politics or news as it is just a work of fiction featuring opinionated political conjecture in a made-up setting.
