Can /pol/ please use this "Vote UKIP" board banner? It's to encourage British posters to vote for the right-wing party UKIP in the upcoming British general elections.

It has /pol/'s name/url, because it is a board banner, and the 8chan logo, out of respect for the site that makes the board possible.

Then there's a Union Jack to make sure it catches the eyes of the right people, all the British posters of /pol/, and a UKIP logo, so that even if they don't read the text, they know what it's about. The logo is the same as will appear on ballot papers on voting day, which is mentioned so people don't forget.

It's meant to be a temporary banner that can be taken down after the election. It's just to raise awareness of the vote and help out UKIP and /pol/'s British UKIP-supporting posters.

It's got generic looks so that the url at the bottom can be changed for use on other boards too, if any other board owner/mods want to help too. It's .png so editing is easy.

The second one is great except the text gets hard to read over the blue and red. Can it be darker or given a bright outline to make it stand out? The 8ch logo has the same problem.

Something like this?

4a25bb No.7439

could be neat, though maybe it is better for mods to try to be unbiased.

/pol/ Board Owner will have to make the call on this one, since he is the only one who can edit banners.

Yes, the first one is better. The second is still hard to read. What if the text is darker and the "shadow" is the light bit?

The second has a clearer flag though.

This is a party the vast majority of British /pol/ posters support strongly, and most non-British posters who have any interest in British politics support.

You could think of it this way: you're not being biased towards one party over another, you're just doing something nice for a community on /pol/, Brit/pol/. Any serial thread with regular users could ask for a banner, and a banner on behalf of Brit/pol/ would be one encouraging votes for our favourite party.

This is great, but I'd suggest changing it to Britons instead of British.

Can someone make a generic UKIP banner that can be used for any board?

The owner of /britfeel/ says he'll put one up too >>>/britfeel/8678
