if you are so sensitive that anime triggers you, then you are free to leave for another board if you'd like - nobody is stopping you.

This is not a board where moderation caters to the most sensitive among us, it is a board for pure, unbridled free speech (within reason - no raids), and all the amazing things which may spring from that. If you are offended, you are free to leave. But the board will continue on, because it is a hub for people with different ideas to intermingle and create new, glorious things.

I would personally rather that you stay, but it is your choice, and that is the key. People are free to come here to make politically motivated threads of any type: that is the beauty of this site, what separates us from sites like Reddit. We are not curated. As moderators, we do not set the agenda for you; you set it yourself.

I am only a 'traitor' in the sense that I refuse to bias my moderation in favor of a particular political agenda, even if I may personally agree with that agenda myself.

Having the mods of a political imageboard cater to a specific political agenda is the true traitorousness; it betrays everything that /pol/ originally stood for, and actually undermines the political movements which have sprung forth from the site.

the board owner of /pol/ agrees with this too: he, too, believes that 'paranoia has been running rampant for a while now'. The board has been chasing at its own shadows for far too long; it's your choice to do so, but the moderation should not be actively supporting this. It is undermining the board, and if SHILLs actually posted here, they would likely be feeding paranoia like this, because it is by far the most effective way to undermine the board.
