Be very clear what you want the board to be about from the very beginning

Try to make friends with other smaller, high-quality political boards (/32/ and /bmw/ would be a good start)

Unless there is somehow a critical point reached that causes a mass exodus, a spinoff board will never work. Remember all the /pol/ clones during the April/May shitstorms?

Not enough people on /pol/ have the patience for a slow board, so it's an all or nothing situation. Either something happens that instantly galvanizes the community resulting in a mass-exodus, or the board splinter will eventually die off and the users will return to /pol/.

I hope things don't reach that point.

Advantages over /pol/ are transparency, forced anon, and a desire for verifiable facts over the usual incitements to pointless happening shitposting.

Retarded option. People will sage the threads and then go and shitpost all over the board. I know this because that's exactly what I did with /pn/ or whatever that shitty one getting shilled a few months ago was.

The bottom line is that the infinity board system allows for specialized boards to be created. It is not ideal for creating new versions of already existing boards. Fracturing large boards is near impossible and the only time it has ever actually worked is with gamergate fags, which are all aligned on their issue.

You can try to act like it's as simple as "lol make your own board!" but in reality, it's infinitely simpler to remove the power from one autistic kike of a mod.
