/pol/ gets a lot of flack for being a "natsoc hugbox" and i must say they do hold some weight. people have supposedly received bans for "shilling" when presenting a dissenting opinion as well as the well known fact that many threads/posts just get spammed with shill accusations just for disagreeing with the majority. while i myself have not received such a ban, i also don't post much on /pol/ and when i do it's generally not something i could get accused of shilling for.

so to amend this, i propose one scheduled day with an announcement placed a week in advance where:

1. no bans for shilling will occur. any dissenting opinion, no matter how abrasively presented, will be allowed to remain (of course, maintaining the same rule about duplicate threads and spamming that currently exists).

2. a ban for the rest of this day will occur for any accusation of shilling that does not provide a real argument along with it.

3. a complete log of bans will be easily accessible by anyone choosing to view them.

perfectly reasonable if i do say so myself. if this for some reason isn't viable, an explanation would be nice.

>any dissenting opinion, no matter how abrasively presented, will be allowed to remain

that's a recipe for disaster

better to contain it on a dedicated board

/shitposting/ or something

2 and 3 are fine all the time not just one day

you can't have a situation where the mods are valuing all posts as equal in worth

because they're not

>gets a lot of flack for being a "natsoc hugbox" and i must say they do hold some weight

hardly

and your link as what exactly to do with the claim that one day can hurt a culture that has existed for years?

what will happen is some posts respectfully disagreeing with your ideology will get posted, a few not so respectful ones, a lot of threads with "lol, stomcucks are dumb xD" will be posted and redirected to one single thread due to the existing duplicate threads rule, maybe some legitimate shilling if you buy that, and mostly the same old shit.

after this day ends, all that content can be deleted and the only lasting mark will be archives of threads that people thought were worth it.

>one day can hurt a culture that has existed for years

why would you invite a paedophile to lunch one day a week? add into that the fact that time doesn't exist and you are only creating a regular occasion for shitposting

that makes you an advoicate for shitposting

im not advocating for it to be a weekly thing.

im saying it should be a one-time thing with a warning a week in advance, maybe with advertisement on /b/ and /leftypol/ so they know that is their one-time opportunity.

once this day is over, the mod can do it for free all he wants until the shitposting goes away.

i wouldn't have a pedo over for lunch every week, but i would gladly have him over ONCE to discuss his views provided i can keep my eye on him the entire time.

yeah that's ok: a one-day thing to air all the grievances

but ordinarily spam is never allowed, as i said in >>9184

>>9234

spam shouldn't e allowed on the day im talking about either.

but since we seem to have come to an agreement, what are the chances a mod/owner will actually see this thread. this is my first time on /polmeta/ so i have no idea how often they lurk here.

It's not a bad idea, but it won't go anywhere because the Nazi hugbox extends to the mods.
