One of the mods has basically gone off the deep end and is banning for anything he doesn't like, I got banned earlier for posting a news article

I'm sorry to say that you guys made the wrong choice about the future of /pol/ back in April. /pol/ is run by very power-hungry people now, and it appears that they don't really care about the overall health of the board.

I would recommend moving somewhere new.

Other /pol/ mod here, hi Trypt. imkampfy hasn't stopped his cancerous power tripping despite all of us calling it out as it happens… now we get things like this where he goes on banning sprees for personal vindication. faggettts just doesn't care what these vols do anymore. Worse, moonman seems to have learned all his habits from imkampfy, so now we have two power trippers being as le edgy as possible treating the board like its their property. The ban reasons always being snide insults seems childish, too.

Sorry guys… we shouldn't have stepped down as vols. We thought at the time it was the right thing for the board, so users could regain trust in moderation. Instead, the new volunteers ruined that opportunity. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Unfortunately I have to say that I agree with you. We made the wrong choice it appears and should have kept you guys in place. I just got a month long ban today on /pol/. For saying on the board that /politics/ would be a good place to go to for people dissatisfied. A MONTH long ban for mentioning another politics board on 8chan to an anon that said I can't stand these mods right now what's another good board. Month long. Smh fam. Smh.

4chon died because there were a team of dedicated shitposters that hated /new/ and they eventually became mods.

I haven't run into any bans on 8ch /pol yet (mainly lurk) but the stickies more than anything else make the mods look bad. 4chan's /pol/ at least kept it to the normal one plus a sticky for things like the Baltimore riots. It clutters shit up and no one wants the discussion to be guided like this.

I get power tripping in other positions, but a mod on a Chinese cartoon board power tripping? You don't get to crush your enemies and take their women. You just ban people.
