430eea No.9740

No other explanation for 24h bans for "duplicate thread"

Think about it. The rule is 90-9-1. You have 1 percent content creators on the internet, 9 percent commenters and 90 percent who are just lurking. If you shit in such a retarded way on people who bring discussions to the board the only possible explanation is that the kikes in charge are trying to kill activity.

The mods are working against the interests of pol. They are actively working towards the goal to make pol smaller. To isolate the red pilled people. That is why they ban blue pilled people en masse for not being red pilled enough. That is why they ban thread creators for retarded offenses. Or in my case banned a proxy. Fucking idiots.

c51de6 No.9742

Have you considered looking to see if there's already a thread up about the topic before creating one? The front page is constantly assaulted by new threads which shouldn't be made in the first place.

I do agree that mods should only delete the thread and give a "warning" when it happens, but don't defend posting duplicates.

>>9742

I searched for some key words like "oven" "3 year old" "baby" - I'm lazy, I wouldn't create a thread if there is already a discussion.

cause you know it was about a nignog putting his baby sister in the oven and killing her

this is the "duplicate thread"

Zero chance at finding that thread. Zero.

> I do agree that mods should only delete the thread and give a "warning" when it happens

Don't bother with a warning. You do not want to drive thread creators away - If the thread shows a minimum of effort there is absolutely no need to go attacking and play powerhungry idiot. Just say dupe and kill it. That's the job of a janitor. Can't be that hard.

>You do not want to drive thread creators away

You do want to discourage shitposting however.

90-9-1 rule. It is incredibly hard to find thread creators.

As a moderator you want less work cause you are a lazy faggot.

As an admin you want those content creators.

That is where the reddit model of board ownership HW wants for 8chan fails. It is also failing all over reddit. The board owners are moderators. So they shift from what is best for the board/ growth to what is best for their lazy asses. And they turn authoritarian idiots who focus most on reducing work load.

In addition. Every blue pilled poster will shitpost some really stupid shit. He doesn't know better. He won't learn if he gets banned for 3 weeks. He'll just join /leftypol/ where everyone thinks like him. And he will not be woken up. It is a tremendous mistake to drive blue pills away from /pol/. The truth is on /pol/'s side. No need for an echochamber.

>90-9-1 rule. It is incredibly hard to find thread creators.

Yep, which is why you want to drive away shitposters who chase them away by burying their content under a ton of bullshit.

430eea No.9747

>>9746

backwards.

If moderators decide what is good content and what not you precisely have the deadly echochamber you should seek to avoid for growth.

Shitposter is just a different set of rules just like political correctness.

Limiting content to what an "elite" thinks is good content always results in a narrower and narrower definition of what is allowed and what quality standard is needed.

c51de6 No.9748

>>9747

Some content is objectively bad. Duplicate threads are such content.

244eb9 No.9758

Do these appeals even get reviewed? I submitted mine more than an hour ago and it's still listed as "pending" right now

Basically this yeah

Checked again and it was denied by your joke of a mod despite me having reasonably and politely explained that i meant no harm and was merely trying to contribute good content, jesus christ.

Excessive much there? Do you actually hate your own userbase or just like absuing the mod function for these kinds of powertrips?

I would even understand these bans IF there was a clearly malicious effort involved on the part of the OP.

However, as the OP of this already made clear;

>There is literally no reason to go overboard like this and ban people for that long if they clearly just wanted to contribute. The only plausible reason to do this is if you as a mod actually want to hurt the board by driving posters away with this kind of excessive over-moderation and banning of good users.

Fix your fucking moderation team, this shit is cuckchan-tier

04c4e7 No.9764

>>9762

There's nothing that can be done

/intl/ bullshit gifted us with the worst moderation team in the history of imageboards, that's not hyperbole either

d1b847 No.9771

remember when the old mod team used to actually visit /polmeta/?

That was back when the /pol/ mods actually cared about the users.

d1b847 No.9772

>>9764

don't blame /intl/ for this dude, if they had their way 8chan would have less moderation, not more.

ad918a No.9813

>>9745

Another problem is that the mods have literally zero accountability and nobody knows who they are or has any way to contact them.

13c73a No.9926

> It is incredibly hard to find thread creators.

Yeah and it's even harder if you keep banning legitimate thread creators and delete their threads for bullshit retarded nonsensical reasons just to please your own ego, just saying.
