You know, I hate to have to resurrect this old thread, but that's not how things went. I posted an opinion which I very much stand by: whereas before /pol/ was full of unique, open, and various discussion about many things, in the past months it has slowly devolved into being a colony of Stormfront. While it is true that there is a problem with race in the present, it is about as important as abortion. That the entire board came to obsessively talk about race and make everything about racial issues came to disgust me. The community that I once cared a lot about seemed to sound a lot like Black Lives Matter protesters, and I suppose that's exactly what they are. After all, everyone in that thread and everyone in this one think that my post is "bad" or "crappy," when all I've done is express how a great man doesn't lower himself to obsess over things so small in such a demeaning way.
I'm thankful for my awakening by my ban that /pol/ is not what it used to be; after all, look at all the similar threads sharing my complaint and who agree point for point about the quality of the moderation there. 8chan /pol/ is just another has-been like 4chan /pol/. I believe we at /politics/ are creating a respectable community that I'm glad to be a part of.
