I have decided since the BO and a couple other mods are still occasionally popping in I will take the much needed opportunity to get this board going again, be it in a different direction than it's intent at it's creation and peak.

This board will now focus on events just like /pol/, but will serve as a good infodump for information and more in-depth discussion about the topics.

I will reassess the threads that have been lingering in here for months to get things rolling again, instead of having multiple threads that have long served there purposes and have no effect on anything now. (e.g. what do we do? threads and things that have already simmered down completely that do not regard anything political.)

/polpol/ was previously a questionable alternative when /pol/ was being attacked a while back and many feared they needed a more well-guarded board, this fear was exceptionally large due to the fact that this happened right after the 4chan exodus.

I am going to attempt to bring this to board to purpose so that the people that actually do come time to time can engage in discussion.

Ethicists approve ‘3 parent’ embryos to stop diseases, but congressional ban remains

An elite panel of scientists and bioethicists offered guarded approval Wednesday of a novel form of genetic engineering that could prevent congenital diseases but would result in babies with genetic material from three parents.

The committee, which was convened last year at the request of the Food and Drug Administration, concluded that it is ethically permissible to “go forward, but with caution” with mitochondrial replacement techniques (MRT), said the chairman, Jeffrey Kahn, a bioethicist at Johns Hopkins ­University.

But the advisory panel’s conclusions have slammed into a congressional ban: The omnibus fiscal 2016 budget bill passed by Congress late last year contained language prohibiting the government from using any funds to handle applications for experiments that genetically alter human embryos.

Thus the green light from the scientists and ethicists won't translate anytime soon into clinical applications that could potentially help families that want healthy babies, said Shoukhrat Mitalipov, a pioneer of the new technique at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Ore.

“It seems like the FDA is disabled in this case by Congress," Mitalipov said. “At this point we’re still not clear how to proceed."

The FDA released a statement Wednesday saying it will carefully review the report from the advisory committee, but added that the congressional ban prohibits the agency from reviewing applications "in which a human embryo is intentionally created or modified to include a heritable genetic modification. As such, human subject research utilizing genetic modification of embryos for the prevention of transmission of mitochondrial disease cannot be performed in the United States in FY 2016."

MRT should be used rarely, with extreme care and with abundant government oversight, and it initially should be applied only to male embryos, the advisory panel said.

The report comes at a time of dazzling advances in genetic engineering and a commensurate struggle to understand the ethics of “playing God,” a phrase uttered twice Wednesday by committee member R. Alta Charo, a professor of law and bioethics at the University of Wisconsin.

Two months ago, scientists from around the globe gathered in the same building to hash out guidelines for the use of another revolutionary technique, known as CRISPR, which can be used to efficiently edit nuclear DNA genes. Earlier this week,

British officials approved publicly funded research that will use CRISPR to study the development of early-stage human embryos, but the embryos will not be implanted in women.

The FDA last year asked the Institute of Medicine, now part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, to review the ethical implications of MRT because it would result in what has been loosely referred to as “three-parent babies.” British officials have already approved investigatory experiments involving the technique.

Nuclear DNA is by far the more significant form of genetic material for determining most human characteristics. As the committee put it, “While mtDNA plays a central role in genetic ancestry, traits that are carried in nDNA are those that in the public understanding constitute the core of genetic relatedness in terms of physical and behavioral characteristics as well as most forms of disease.”

As a result, modifying mtDNA “is meaningfully different.”

But panel members said that they took the philosophical issues seriously, noting that someone with genetic material from two different maternal bloodlines would potentially have to wrestle with questions about identity, kinship and ancestry.

They also countenanced the possibility that people would want to use this new technique to create babies that are enhanced in some way intellectually or physically. They said that is not a major concern at the moment because the feasibility of such enhancements remains speculative.

This was a very popular thread over on pol a couple of months back. It lasted for almost 4 weeks and maybe some of you were part of it.

Someone (wasn't me) floated the idea of building a separate Internet that couldn't be censored for political correctness or monitored like it was the governments own personal surveillance apparatus. We had a long conversation about how it could be built and of how it could be used to preserve cultural values that are near and dear to pol.

Well, since it ended I've had a few ideas that I wanted to add to it, so I tried resurrecting the thread over on pol yesterday. Mods deleted it before it even had a chance to breathe. I'm hoping it can find a new home over here because I think it's pretty important for all of us.

Before I share any of my own ideas I'll wait to see if this post survives moderation. But I'll summarize the last thread. There were two trains of thought going on:

Technical

What actual hardware & software we should use in order to build it. The general consensus seemed to be that we should build localized mesh networks and connect them to one another over long distances via some sort of unconventional packet radio.

Cultural

The other discussion was about the cultural and artistic side of things. A lot of people thought it would be important for us to have our own iconography, memes, mythos, etc to go along with it, in order to give it a sense of cultural identity and prevent it from just becoming the hobby-horse of a few techie geeks.

I've 3 points on statistics about interracial violence. The first two points are examples for general missunderstandings. In the third point I use the first two points at USA-Crime-Statistics from 2012-2013.

I've 3 points on statistics about interracial violence. The first two points are examples for general missunderstandings. In the third point I use the first two points at USA-Crime-Statistics from 2012-2013.

So, here's a tough nut to crack. I haven't yet read a decent context to the Sharon Tate murder in 1969.

To me its a suspicious murder. Sharon tate was the 1st wife of roman polanski. Polanski had been a B list director until the previous year, when his film 'rosemary's baby' became an international success and set him as a top tier director.

Polanski worked by converting books he liked into films.

I think its possible the jewish mob in hollywood were jealously guarding their 'movie' turf, which at the time was a much more crucial part of the mass media machine than it is now.

Perhaps Polanski had read a book on the jewish mob and had expressed interest in doing a film on it.

Fine details of Polanski's affairs at the time might reveal threats to the jews and the NWO, maybe he was or wasn't aware of them, perhaps he didn't realize it, but a decent film maker with the power to get films to a world wide audience meant he was a potential threat.

The tear I shed for the decline of Western culture

Several people asked if I'd go see "The Hobbit" with them. I declined in a rather cruel fashion, and they wondered what exactly what is up my ass on this subject. Let me make this clear: what the beast has done to Tolkien's work is a wickedness unto which no punishment could possibly set right.

When I was a kid The Lord of the Rings was one of my formative influences. It is a distinctly European work with the echoes of Nordic wisdom pervading throughout. I got the same feeling reading it as I did when I first read the Eddas. I knew this work was something magical, and I treated it with the reverence it deserved.

The most rapturous part of my reading of the books as a child was at the end of the trilogy. In Tolkien's version, the hobbits of the fellowship return to the Shire only to see it taken over by a snide old wizard controlling a horde of half-orcs. The hobbits do the only sensible thing that one would do when finding ones hometown infested by section 8 housing full of parasitic thugs, rapists and murderers: start a pogrom. At this point in the story, the hobbits are level 99 badasses with legendary equipment and these mongrel half-orcs are level 5 newbie fodder. The battle scenes are obviously not on the same tier as the rest of the books, but imagining the return of spirit to a broken people filled my heart with more joy than anything I ever knew.

This part of the story gives the entire book meaning. The most important end to the struggle is the setting right of their own community. It is the best part of the story and I can't shake the feeling that its removal was an act of censorship. The visualization of a violent pogrom in the Shire was a little too much for Hollywood to release.

"The scouring of the shire isn't relevant to the central story, and the hero's journey doesn't need to contain all the elements of the traditional tale," a disbeliever in my critique may say.

We, in the US, have a major problem when it comes to demographics and voting. Specifically in terms of electoral college votes, the Democrats(who are more multicultural) have a significant advantage over the Republicans. Roughly 250-257 electoral votes will be Democrats in a given election from their solid blue states. The Republicans in contrast only have a solid 149 electoral votes accounted for. So right out of the gate we can see the disparity between the two.

rather than being an improvement however, /pol/ seems to have deteriorated further. there's little to no communication or transparency from the team, and the board is in a state of constant shit, race-bating, sliding, multiple mgtow threads open at once and overall a state of 4chan /pol/ tier ineffectual discussion and shitflinging. the ban log for /pol/ is also very inactive for a board that size and the current board owner and staff do not use polmeta either.

question is, do you want to use this opportunity to advertise on /pol/ for the betterment of our ideology and movement? little can be accomplished when a board is drowning in refuse and irrelevant discussion of the same shill controlled topics. currently it appears that shills and shitposters are running wild, there's about 3-4 'redpill me on x' threads on the front page with 30+ responses and its honestly hard to see a qualitative difference between 8pol and 4pol atm.

The US Supreme Court recently legalized gay marriage as many now know. However, if you look at their legal justification there's a giant gaping hole.

To quote:

This may have been an opinion on legalizing gay marriage but the legal justification states that basically anything is fair game.

Now this probably doesn't apply to honor killings, but who knows how far it can be stretched. But, it does apply to things like marriage and many other things.

Now this means many more things can be construed as marriage before the Supreme Court or the decision can be overturned as it is void for vagueness, because if you use their own methodology more things become legal other than gay marriage. In order for their opinion not to be vague it would have to rewrite the legal definition of marriage at the federal level.

All in all it will be interesting to see if people exploit this great opportunity, because it will take some time to close this loophole.

Decadence =/= The Disease

I recently saw a post that said that society won't collapse due to degeneracy. This got me to thinking about The Fate of Empires by Sir John Glubb. Even more so it made me investigate the Arabic periods of decadence to see what their scholars said. After searching I found The Muqaddimah which was written over 600 years ago, and it's clear Glubb was inspired by it. For example:

This is important because of what the writer of The Muqaddimah states is necessary for a nation to be successful and survive:

What are the implications of societies that live and die? How does this fit into the idea of a new empire or whatever?

Why is there so much hate from the natsoc/hardright/pol community on feminism, LGBT and transgenderism?

I'm not talking about the morons talking about priviledge and triggers on tumblr and such, but feminism as a whole movement over the last 50 years had a few good points.

During both world wars a lot of woman entered the industrial workforce, I was under the impression that pretty much everyone, Allies, NatSoc and communists alike fostered the "Strong women can fight too!" idea and 'realized' that it could work.

The large success of females in the education system would also point towards this not being a mistake, and I have my doubts that this could just be rolled back. Even if a small difference in IQ can be measured, it is small enough to not warrant bans.

Likewise, what's up with homosexuality hate? I understand people want to get rid of gay pride parades, but weren't several large (and small) civilizations in the past rooted in homosexuality, like the greeks. In fact, I thought that the entire idea of homosexuality being a crime against god came from Judaism, of all sources (and through that to Christianity and Islam). Is this a wrong statement?

I can already understand issues with transgenders better, as that is a direct symptom of identification problems which aren't a good thing, but taking ideals here:

Would the existence of a machine that allowed one to magically change their body to whatever gender they wanted be that bad for society? I cannot think of why this would be a bad thing, and the current (small) transgender fad is the best way to achieve this, and isn't really aiming towards anything else.

It would seem to deal with any kind of accusations of discrimination or with most issues of people not fitting into their role for whatever reason. It would also give people more perspective on several things (both women realizing how being mediocre is just severely punished as a man and men realizing how annoying it is to never be taken seriously, for instance, but the list goes on), which I can't imagine being a bad thing either.

Mostly the only arguments I have seen against this are either a variation of 'IT IS DEGENERACY AND DEGERENACY IS BAD', religious in nature or argue that they undermine the fertility of our species. Aren't we capable of having children without having to worry about the gender (or age) of the parents yet? Why are people opposing homosexual child-rearing then? Would transgenderism be suddenly ok if we could create fertile sex organs?

Please elucidate me.

National Socialism and the Market

Let's get some discussion here.

In a future National Socialist state, how much influence do you think government should have on the market? How much, and what, should be nationalised? Is it possible to have a government that helps protect the folk with economic and consumer legislation that focuses on quality over quantity, or is it impossible to avoid large amounts of regulation? Is heavy regulation even a bad thing?

My view is that other than the obvious step of nationalising the central bank and killing debt-based currency, government should have an active role in the market - monopoly busting, enforcing consumer protection legislation, preventing free trade and engaging in protectionism until industry has grown at least on par with trade partners, and always favouring national industry over foreign business, though not preventing them from doing business at all provided they follow the law.

On nationalisation, I think that most things pertaining to either national security or the health and well-being of the nation should be nationalised, like Health, Education, the Defence industry, and certain other things like roads and railways.

Ideally, regulation should be as minimal as possible, though I'm not sure how realistic that is, as excess regulation tends to effect small business more than large.

Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and create a new state, why do we not simply talk about reverting to successful states that already existed with new protections in place to keep them alive longer?

I know lots of people here like to hold up Nazi Germany as their favorite system, but, let's talk about some non Nazi states that could also be used as models for a successful white nation.

For me, I think Southen Rhodesia / Rhodesia and pre Civil War America (with strict immigration controls) were excellent states that afforded their citizens a very high quality of life, and, generally,afforded their citizens the freedoms to enjoy their life and pursue whichever goals they personally believed in.

It's not illegal, they can distort or outright falsify news and broadcast it to the public. Should the law be changed so that the news cannot outright lie? How should it be changed? Would you want to count the intent?

I could see making it completely illegal to lie might just cause a "chilling effect" because errors are quite possible, I would want to take their intent, primarly looking to stop hoax news that has been out of control lately (false flags). Not so concerned with simple mistakes but stopping outright fabricated news, which they can do with impunity today and use all of the time for political purposes or simply to fill slow news cycles.

We did get the Brian Williams story lately, which was trivial as hell, I'm pretty sure that was a show made to placate right-wingers, and so people believe that lies will be dealt with internally.

Anyways, I just wanted to start a conversation about this, it really bothers me that they can not only lie, but straight out fabricate news stories, and as long as it doesn't step on the toes of some powerful business they get away with it. I think this problfem is a lot bigger than most realize and the PR and Mass-Media professions keep growing in popularity, making false news is basically making your own work, they aren't going to stop unless they have to.

The mass-media isn't going to bring this problem to your attention, obviously, and if it was dealt with I'm pretty sure it would be an extremely negative thing for their business and for that whole sector of the economy. I don't have a lot of tears for the news media however and think it does need a good spanking, and that industry is already distorted and oversized.

How would you deal with this without handing the news media to big government? I'm not a fan of "fairness doctrine", which really doesn't say much about truthfulness anyways, just "balance", but I do think the news media should not be able to intentionally lie.

I've become a bit more conscious of is exactly how ideologies work.

Essentially, what I've discovered is that, on a fundamental level, each and every ideology follows the same basic principles. Essentially, the ideology seeks to unify a group in struggle against a manufactured outgroup or spiritual enemy. In socialism, this is the very essence of class struggle, in Randian objectivism, this is the parasites, in feminism, it's the Patriarchy, etc.

The unifying feature of these enemies is that the struggle against them will never end. Inequality can never be completely eliminated. If you run out counterrevolutionaries or agents of international Jewry, you can always find or make more. I think that Orwell realized and articulated this, to a certain extent, in 1984, but most people miss this statement, perhaps his most important. Furthermore, doublethink as practiced by the members of the Inner Party remains criminally misunderstood. The whole point is that the leaders and vanguards of the ideology are able to be cynical and pragmatic while still drinking the kool-aid.

This is exactly what's happening in our world. The ones who are "in control" understand (to a certain extent) exactly what I'm saying right now. They know precisely what snake oil they're selling, but still willingly delude themselves into becoming its biggest junkies. Just like religious figures, they both control, and are controlled by the ideologies. Cult leaders are more consistently lucid.

All of this is undertaken for the sake of man's true religion, conflict. We love conflict and will invent it where it does not already exist. It distracts from the vast, cold, dark, apathy of the cosmic joke and keeps us toiling away at impossible goals.

I really wish that people were even slightly easy to understand on an individual level. Unfortunately, it's much more difficult to obtain pertinent information since most people don't come with manifestos and memoirs attached.

Is national socialism the answer? I prefer Franco's Spain and Salazar's Portugal and their brand of authoritarian government. However, they're all similar. Do you think this is the answer? Do you see a natsoc/fascist revolution happening during our lifetimes? No matter how much I've become sympathetic towards national socialism lately, I still think that a firm monarchy would be preferable.

The Myth of Nationalism in a Post-Industrialist World

As corporations have taken over the place of feudal overlords, the concept of "nation" has become diluted. Whereas once the concept of land, which was inextricably linked to the wealth of the elites lording over a particular tract of land, called a "nation," was their primary revenue source – and therefore necessary to protect, the agrarian societies which developed these kingdoms – and ultimately nations, have withered in the winds of change blown by the smoke of factories and the industrial and post-industrial ages.

Wealth tied to land is no longer the primary way in which elites hold their power. The concept of the "corporation" has overtaken the role of feudal overlord. Thus, it is not necessary for elites to protect tracts of land that were once the source of their incomes as feudalistic overlords, but instead, the ethereal concept of corporations allow the elite to amass wealth without the need of national boundary.

This means, it no longer is in the elites' interest to preserve nations and nationalities, but rather pursue markets or markets of consumers.

Thus, it is logical to see the creation of a the European Union, TPP, etc. to promote "free trade" which inexorably helps a corporation's (and the elite shareholders') bottom line.

In the post-industrial age, the backwards concept of "nationalism" is a joke when the elites that disproportionately own most of the world's wealth don't care about "nationality" simply because broader "multinational" and "multicultural" markets create a broader consumer base to increase their revenue stream.

It all comes down to money. That's why I generally consider the fight is futile. But please, discuss with me why I may be wrong.

I've had an idea and posted it on /gamergatehq/ and thought I'd post it on various other boards too, like here on /polpol/, since the whole point of it is for various communities to work together.

Unethical journalism obviously isn't just in videogames and CULTural marxism has infected everything so SJWs are everywhere. So my idea is that we encourage people in all kinds of hobbies, jobs etc to create their own "gates" by talking about all the scandals involving unethical journalism, CULTural marxism and censorship happening in their communites and create hashtags on Twitter for each community's scandals to be exposed and discussed. (Like #GamerGate was created for the videogame community's various scandals to be exposed and discussed under and has become the name of the revolt.) Since #GamerGate seems to be able to get any hashtags trending we can help them out to get other communities' "gates" hashtags trending to build their revolts. So we can create a network of gates to expose all the corrupt journalists and SJWs and fight back even stronger against their corrupt ideology. They don't all have to be "gates" if they've already got their own thing going, like the science fiction & fantasy books community have Sad Puppies. We can invite revolts like Sad Puppies to be part of GateNet.

All the different "gates" can have boards on 8chan (as well as wherever else they want to have a presence, obviously) so instead of posting only semi-related news in /gamergatehq/, such as "Shirtgate" and the unethical journalists' & SJWs' attack on Protein World, they can be posted in their own related boards. We can all help each other out as I'm sure we'll all have interests in multiple subjects, plus of course we have the same common goal of exposing unethical journalism and defeating CULTural marxism, thereby eventually allowing full freedom of speech along with freedom and democracy in general to be achieved worldwide.

HIerarchy to define simply is a system that puts something above another thing and they are connected for a purpose.

It could be people or a machine or a language.

In this thread we focus on hierarchy between and among people. Are there inherent and unavoidable hierarchies due to us being mammals? Are there hierarchies you may simultaneously participate in that can potentially switch seniors and juniors to opposite roles?

I've been trying to learn more about religions in general since I was an atheist for most of my youth. As of late I've been leaning more towards agnosticism. Which religions are the most grounded in reality? Secondly (and I'm aware of the irony of this question) which religion out there doesn't require a massive leap of faith and blind belief?

I've been doing some reading on Buddhism and a little bit on Hinduism; the non-theistic beliefs of Buddhism and cyclical nature of the universe are attractive to me. A lot of you guys are stormfront users, right? I think a site like Stormfront (or Ironmarch, or /r/whiterights) is a much better place for you to organize. Consider this: Stormfront/Ironmarch have accounts, so you can weed out any 'shills' pretty easily. It has the advantage of being founded specifically to host far-right ideas: if you dislike anime, you probably won't see it there. Posts stay up much longer because of the 'forum' format, which is somewhat different from imageboards. Another thing was that once women started to work the labor force effectively doubled; the result being that you can treat everyone as disposable pawns that can be thrown away for little reason and with no responsibility on your part; even those that are skilled!

I still think that convincing women that they needed to slave away in factories (indeed that they need to to be equal with men) was perhaps the greatest feat of social engineering ever pulled over on western civilization.
