Both groups practice "Sectarian nepotism", where members of a religion will give each other better deals and not do each other dirty, and where the religious community itself can be used for networking.
For Jews AND scientologists, having access to that kind of ready, trustworthy network scattered throughout your industry and ready to provide mutual assistance has been a decisive competitive advantage in media (and for the Jews, in all KINDS of business fields) and has promoted them (again, especially Jews) to the highest levels.
Maybe the Jews just see somebody else using their methods and want to eliminate a threat to their media dominance?
