While it's an interesting hypothesis through the lens of Christians who want to shed the Jewishness of its Abrahamic offshoot, with even a subset of British Israelists who believe they are the chosen ones thanks to this theory. Is there any evidence that supports the theory? Who coined the notion anyway? It was in 1869 by a Jew named Abraham Eliyahu Harkavi.
