April the 20th, the birthday of Adolf Hitler, is the decided date for the beginning of a long awaited series of trials that will judge the fate of 69 of our comrades, including our leaders. 19 months and change after losing our funds and comrades, we are engaging in a battle that will decide the future of our Movement. This battle is of no interest to me, the deal is sealed, our victory is predetermined. I am pretty darn sure of this. What matters though, is what will happen the next morning.

The "Panousi doctrine", the dogma of the new, leftist minister of Civilian Protection, has given anarchists an unprecedented degree of freedom. Even though the 3-month-old government is already moving the bill that promises to dismantle all maximum security prisons, which is their demand, they not only continue, but intensify their clashes with the Riot Control Unit, every single night, attacking from the occupied Academy of Athens, which they occupy for 17 days now. The RCU of course has orders to not intervene to the looting, smashing and burning of the surrounding area and to keep a defensive stance. The Academy is but the biggest of current anarchist occupations in Greece, occupations that even include offices of the governing party itself! The quality of the occupiers meets the standards of the classic "freedom fighter" we have come to know and expect. One of the arrests (that are less that 10) includes a Polish drug dealer for whom exists a European arrest warrant.

This unprecedented degree of freedom the anarchists enjoy is placing us at a very dangerous place. There have already been many announcements by many NGOs to "prepare for the unthinkable" obviously trying to push the masses in a quite frankly risk-less "struggle" against Golden Dawn, once we've been made whole. If the government has no problem with anarchists making their way to a few meters from the entrance of the Parliament, then they sure as hell have no issue with anarchists barging in the courts.

The president of the Greek wing of the Rosa Luxembourg Foundation has stated the absolute need to "create a social climate around our society that will make the acquittal of Golden Dawn members absolutely unthinkable! For this reason we created GoldenDawnWatch.org, an unbiased initiative that will give the facts as is to the public, and will keep an eye open in case the political and judicial institutions are blinded "!!!. And by "blinded" they mean acquitting us, which is precisely what will happen if the Justice system does its job right and grant us a fair trial. Over 100 lawyers of our Legal Wing are going to be with us every step of the way.

Meanwhile, minor far-Left parties, NGOs, student groups, anti-racist committees, and communities of Pakistani, Somali, Albanian and Afghan immigrants will be marching outside the courtroom during the trials. And with the "Panousi doctrine" described above, we can see where this can lead to. Already many leaflets and posters litter the entire capital, announcing this grand march in Greek, English, Arabic, French… and Orcish.
