Let me give you an example:

reasonable person: Hey the Jews own all the media and banks. Maybe that is a bad thing. Maybe they arent our greatest ally.
BE: Gas the Jews race war now heil hitler.

reasonable person: Hey, maybe gassing the jews wasn't a great idea, and maybe the nazis were bad people
BE: Nazis are devils. Kill all the nazis. Open the borders multiculti now.

reasonable person: Hey maybe it isn't such a good idea to have this huge immigration in the long run.
BE: Kill the immigrants race war now.

I hope you get my point. The reasonable person sees a problem and tries to steer society in the correct direction. The BE's oppose him violently. As the problem grows and grows, the reasonable people gradually become in majority. Now all the BE's switch to the reasonable side. But they apply the solution far to extremely which creates new problems.
