It's easy to fall into the snarky, bitchy, nonconstructive and idiotic methodology of Twitter shenanagains, and like some ideological disease you may find yourself infected with very stupid ideas, like thinking that hashtag wank is a valid way to change the world. See shit like GG or parts of the neoreaction movement who spend 90% of their time passive-aggressively arguing with their cagey opposition and smugly referencing their preferred movement in egotistic posts.
You're right with saying that some of these accounts are good for quick information and up to date news, but somehow I feel that the twitter format devaules it somewhat. Like look at this shit. It's like the little text crawl at the bottom of a cable TV station. No context, no larger view. The greater issues become buried under piles of semantics and casualty numbers.
