We live in an age of corporate warfare.

Recently Kaspersky group has identified a backdoor that may be related to certain Western imperialists.

I can't prove it was the NSA, but I think it was the NSA, possibly operating through imperialist running dogs.

However, the other problem is NOT the NSA - it is the general willingness of corporate money-grubbers to spy on customers for profit, even without spooks to lead them.

If the corps themselves are going to preinstall malware, politically incorrect thinkers are going to need to deploy open source solutions.

I am not a tech expert. I don't know about all this 'perfect forward secrecy' and 'asymmetric key' stuff.

But the struggle for free speech in the 21st century is going to require free software. This is not technical. This is political.

Free software is not enough. What we need is open hardware. Some channers are already talking about designing an open source smartphone.

Also keep in mind that the new generation will be less computer literate than we are. As much as our father can repair their car themselves and most of us cannot. It will be a blow to the free software communities and contributions.

Open Hardware is a big deal, and I hope it will be a much bigger deal in the future.

I don't think it applies.
Do you not know how to make a meal?

Things you use daily you will learn about… many young people in cities don't drive
