Africa Blood and Guts
Its an Italian documentary about the end of colonialism in Africa, there's some amazing footage in this. Its also before the end of apartheid in SA and it contrasts SA so well with the disorderly murderous shithole that the rest of the continent devolved into; even more powerful watching now that we know what happened to SA as well.

There is one great documentary you need to watch if you truly care about Western Civilization and that is Cvilisation by Kenneth Clark. I watched this nine years ago when I was in a crisis point in my life and Henry Dampier's blog recently brought it back to my attention. I was still a blue pill liberalfag at the time but shortly thereafter I shifted into paleocon/libertarian mode and ultimately went far right reactionary. I am certain that this documentary, with its beautiful imagery and unapologetic celebration of the west, more than any political, economic or philosophical arguments is what pushed me away from the narcissistic leftwing horse shit.
If you've ever seen the Stanley Kubrick movie Barry Lyndon, the main character has a complete joyful breakdown upon encountering a fellow countryman after living abroad for many years. Watching Civilisation again has the same effect for me. For me it is an overwhelming sense of how much we've lost but at the same time a sense of hope for what is possible, maybe not for us but for future generations.
Its a multipart series and hard to find because the BBC keeps shutting it down online. If you can't find a free version of the whole thing, it is worth spending the shekels to just buy it on DVD.

It's actually relevant to current politics because the use of Russian-made engines to launch US rockets has been banned by congress as a result of the problems in Ukraine, and the US is in the embarrassing position of not having a suitable replacement for the RD180.

Well the document shows a map of the otherside of the Earth's surface through 'a portal'. With two landmasses they named Asgard and Liberia including bases. With an underwater entrance they could have only entered with something like a UFO. It's unlikely we will find any truth though, considering Operation Highjump.
