I'll start off the thread with a shilling of writing software and a question:

I've recently found my way to a particularly useful piece of software. It's called yWriter, which makes it stupidly easy to organize, plan, and write fiction. It's a huge step up for me, who previously used LibreOffice. I've also given Scrivener a try, but I find it inferior to yWriter; while Scrivener would be my go-to for non-fiction, yWriter is specifically oriented for a traditional fiction story, rather than Scrivener's generally excellent organization abilities. yWriter gives me exactly what I need to make a story and no extra fluff. I regret not using this software from the start.

Question: are there any non-fiction horsestuffs? Essays about horseland? Character studies? What about fictional non-fiction? I've never seen anything like that before.

I mostly just Google random phrases and skim the fanfics

Here is an idea. Let's have a story about Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie attempting to prank anon, but when they try to prank him they end up seriously injuring him (anon is not a cartoon and cartoon physics do not work on him) and anon goes into a coma, to make things worse Princess Celestia is on her way to visit anon for the first time (because he is the first human to ever appear in equestria. So in order not to get in trouble Pinkie and Rainbow have to "Weekend at Bernie's" anon (basicly puppet him to keep up appearances for those who have never ween that movie).
