So since I'm posting this here, obviously throwing my shit out isn't an option. I put covers over my box spring and mattress, but they just laid eggs all over those. I've used a steamer a few times, but it doesn't seem to kill them all that long, nor does the poison spray. Does anyone have any methods on getting rid of them better? I'm seriously hoping you guy can help because I've been living with them for a year, and because they're only in my room, my dad doesn't care enough to really help out that much. I've read they're only supposed to feed every few days, but I have them on me every night, and I think they've begun living at my computer desk/on the chair, I even find them living on my flip flops sometimes. I'd occasionally catch them on my school bag last year, but I ditched it. Thankfully they don't travel on my clothes, so at least I can have a social life.

Update: Just resteamed and I literally saw hundreds being killed by it, I just steamed and poisoned a week ago. The smell of them all dying is stuck in the back of my throat and I can kinda taste it. Also used a shit ton of poison and have a bit of a headache.

How did you go about steaming it?

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.

I wonder if diatomaceous earth would do you any good.

Anyway here is a vid of a DIY "interceptor trap" for bed bugs. Looks like there are alot of people making these little traps.

Also here is some guy making a more complicated trap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9YSUxwyL3c

No idea if these work but I hope they do. Good luck OP!

Bag all of your shit, throw it in a freezer for the day, put a space heater or two in your room on full blast for about five hours. Should help. Theoretically.

I've heard that rosemary oil is an effective pesticide that's also non toxic to humans. Maybe you should spray shit load of rosemary oil wherever the fuckers are at along with whatever else you wanna use. Just fuck their shit up fam

Sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth everywhere! It won't harm you or pets (works as flea control too). It's cheap as fuck from the hardware store or nurseries. Also smear a layer of petroleum jelly on the legs of your bed.

 No.943

Heat all your furniture. Diatomaceous Earth everywhere. EVERYWHERE. seal every hole. And your dad is insane not to be worried, bedbugs drop the value of a house by tens of thousands of dollars.

Saging because we just had this thread.

 No.968

Also once the bugs are gone, always wash your sheets in Clorox once a week.

Make sure your sheets are made of Cotton, preferably Egyptian Cotton. I have a book that explains what fabrics are more prone to bed bugs, I will research it later and (hopefully) get back to you.
