I've recently come into possession of MorphVox Pro and all of it's add-ons. Despite it's flaws and absolutely poopy interface, I can say I'm pretty satisfied with the features it has. I've been screwing with recording on my 'girl' voice of Audacity and playing my recording back to see how I sound; it, of course, sounds godawful right now, but as I improve my own voice and learn the program it has great potential fulfill my fantasies! With that said, there are a couple other problems. For one, the program has a very specific volume range; too quiet and my sentences and lost, but too loud and it becomes robotic. Furthermore, there's seemingly an odd electric sound as it tried to adjust to my voice cracking when I attempt to raise my own pitch / speak more 'feminine'.

I was interested in setting up a voice/instant messaging channel for /pretend/. In it, girls could chat with each other about strategies, hookups, & even practice their voices. What do you all think? I don't know about Discord, but Tox uses IDs and not usernames. Though, now that I think about it, Discord would be better for what you're trying to achieve anyways.

How accepting are you of people like me? I've been lurking on this board for a while now and thought about introducing myself, as I have a couple of questions.

1. What are you trying to achieve with pretending? Are you doing this purely because of money (steam begging, etc), or is this a sexual fantasy of yours? Maybe you like deceiving people? Or you just enjoy being romantic with teenager boys?

Girls tend to be treated more nicely in online communities than boys. You don't necessarily have to be slutty - I don't act that way most of the time. I just pretend to be a girl because I like the attention it gets me.

Also reporting in to answer questions! I notice that a lot of your questions are addressed generally to the community as a whole; it's important to note that almost all who /pretend/ have their own various emotional and manipulative reasons to do so. With that said, take what I say with a grain of salt, as I, myself, am rather new to this community in general.

As mentioned, wish fulfillment is a major one. At one point, I 'struggled' with my gender identity, going as far to consider a transition. While I have no desire to do that now, I love just the 'feeling' of being a girl, even for a little bit. It's somewhat sexual, though that's often times not even my focus; sexy behavior sometimes comes in just to be a 'hook' that will catch the attention of other people. As mentioned, a lot of it is the desire to 'play my character'. I wish to become the cool girl I've fantasized about; the girl is snarky, sexy, and fun, but is also manipulative and mean-spirited. This drives in the next part of the question "Or you just enjoy being romantic. . . ". Romance is only there for a reaction, same as all else. I love to enact 'scenes' with my 'character'. This is all for the purpose of seeing shock, enjoyment, entertainment, humiliation, whatever I can gather. I adore being able to put on a different face and watching how people choose to interact with me differently; girls get the added bonus of both being the objects of my attraction & having the ground they walk on worshiped by 'normal' people and loners alike.

Why do you /pretend/, /pretend/?

So what makes us the way we are anons? Do we have some relatable features that makes us do this?

Here is a brief analysis of why I think I do it.

As in, my mother as an abusive hardass and pretty much 'the man' of the family, beat me and siblings. My father was an indecisive effeminate pussy who cried a lot. he had a mental breakdown like a year after I was born. Apparently it was all very different before that

So I guess seeing my mother figure as my father figure and vice versa all fucked it up in my head or something?

I've always been 'naturally' bisexual (never had a problem with men where straight people would be disgusted, started looking at them mid-teens. Never engaged in that activity because I viewed it as immoral and wrong however) so that might contribute as well.

Always been autistic, struggled to make friends and deal with people, etc.

When you're /pretend/ing it's easy; everyone is really nice to you and spurs the conversation forward, even if you are awkward as fuck.

>Writer

Always been a good creative writer and have enjoyed making stories and characters. So it's easy and enjoyable to make myself as a character, make up all the sexual debauchery I engage in and have a whole backstory set up for each character (sometimes I just make it up as I go, but I always stick to the story for each set of pictures).

Hey, anons. I saw this thread and thought I'd contribute.

I also grew up with a somewhat strained relationship with my father, who was very distant. As I grew up, I found that I was not comfortable around people, I lacked confidence and my appearance did not appeal to girls. I grew up with a lot of drugs and a few weird intellectuals.

I love porn, and I remember playing a Leisure Suit Larry game where midway through you stop playing Larry and start playing as the girl, Passionate Patti. Well, I remember there was a scene where you can get past a doorman by blowing him and that was possibly the biggest turn on I had experienced up to that point. I still can't tell you why, but a light just went on in my head.

Later in college, I made an effort to be independent and self assured. I got better with women, and eventually became a dominant, confident man. I never showed a submissive side.

The first time I chatted with someone and pretended I was a girl was on an old BBS back when computers were text exclusive and it took a full minute to download a ,jpg. I remember the attention was almost overwhelming, and I was soon teasing and pleasing almost all of the guys who had any game at all. It was liberating being wooed and letting men comptet for my attention, and it made me feel like I was doing something good; like I was helping them relieve some stress and being what in my mind was an idealized woman.

Since then I've grown more and more fascinated with the prospect of pushing the envelope further and further, although I realize that my physical body is an obstacle. There is nothing about me that looks female. I would gladly put on a bodysuit or transfer my consciousness into a female body.

It took me a while to realize, but the real reason I /pretend/ is because I really want to be the characters I make up in my head; all those characters happen to be female, of course. The reasons that I make them female is a bit more esoteric to me.

Sure, there's a bit of a sex factor, but I think it's more of a case of wish fulfillment, in a way. I don't really have the desire to be female in real life (I thought I did for a while; I certainly wouldn't mind a gender swap, but it's not something I'd actively seek out even if it was much easier). Instead, it's more the ability to have another face that causes people interact with you in different ways that fascinates me. Furthermore, I'm attached to my 'other self' (character might be a better word; other self sounds like I have some issues to sort through). I'm attached a lot to this girl I've been developing in my mind for years.

Frankly, it's a bit concerning: I am honestly questioning my sexuality. As far as I know, I am attracted to girls my age, and not to guys at all. But since I found this board, I'm constantly daydreaming about this. Real porn can hardly excite me anymore.

I just found this board. I've never known that there is a community revolved around pretending to be a girl online.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum: I like to stay my own gender on the internet. For some unknown reason though, I find the thought of someone pretending to be a cheerful girl for me really hot. So how do you guys deal with the sense of guilt?

I started pretending to be a girl a month or so ago. Made a fake email, fake Facebook, etc, and started adding some guys I met on omegle and other sites. But at this point I'm starting to feel guilty about lying to them. The guys who just want to jerk off, I couldn't care less, but there are some genuinely nice guys (and girls, or so I think a least) that I talk to that send me photos, tell me their secrets, talk about their life and shit, thinking that a normal, compassionate human being on the other side is listening, when it's just a sad fuck pretending to be a girl just waiting for an opportunity to jerk off.

This whole subculture is only about sex, don't let anyone develop feeling for you, and don't develop feelings for him. If you know some is developing feelings for you friendzone them or say goodbye. It's not very healthy to just leave without saying anything.

Make sure you 'confess' your double life to someone trustworthy or something like a stuffed animal. Holding secrets is really unhealthy psychologically.

I can understand why you won't take this seriously, but psychology is a powerful thing and just like the people who happily bully others in highschool, if not immediate, one day you will regret desecrating someone's fragile intimacy.
