We all pretend for different reasons, but I feel letting someone develop feelings for you is cruel, that's a lot of trust to subvert, even if you lie to get out of it.

I can understand why you won't take this seriously, but psychology is a powerful thing and just like the people who happily bully others in highschool, if not immediate, one day you will regret desecrating someone's fragile intimacy.
An example i can give you is an injury can be prolonged by the psychology of the person. The mind can only degrade it's self so many times.
