I have heard now what science is being used in Python and Fortran was used long before How do I find it on my own? Where can I see languages used for research?

Also, would it be good to learn like "Origin"?

Go on job sites and search for the type of job you want in the future. Most of the top-tier jobs still use FORTRAN.

As far as I know, programming languages aren't tailored towards those subjects i.e just about any language, even the least abstract, could create programs that do the associated calculations (however, the least abstract of course will be very manual).

Lots of Python. Fortran is good too I guess, but it's getting a bit old. Python is the big new thing.

As far as I know, Python is only used to run small scale physics simulations and data analysis that isn't that computationally intensive. If you want to do heavy duty shit, you need Java. If you want to do super heavy duty shit (like supercomputing) then you need Fortran.

Mathematica is also used often by physicists for doing mathematical computations. It's a great language, and it can even do computations for differential geometry and abstract algebra (both useful for particle physics) and many other areas of mathematics.
