I can't think of any books that'll help you, but please share your findings and record your progress then share it with us for some reading if you find the time. Maybe start with some stuff on using the Facebook Graph API? I also remember a student who solved a problem a recently with graphs, maybe there'd be some interesting stuff in the references? If I find it I will reply again here.
