>>48Half lotus or burmunese, hands wherever, usually on knees or below hips- palms facing up or holding the legs in a loose grip. The breathing is just a kind of pranayama I 'made' myself observing how I feel. Start off with deep nose inhale-hold- nose exhale, just to relax and prepare the body for some extra oxygen. Then slowly I start holding less, inhaling deeper, exhaling hard through mouth. When I start feeling very light-headed and feel the blood in all of my body (or the warmth in ears) I know I'm about 2/3 or halway, just to push myself. Finally I slow down, and take one very deep breath. Wait. Inhake some more without exhaling (i you smoke, I guess it's a little like puffing). Hold. Inhale more if can. Hold. Slowly exhale through mouth until lungs are empty. This is followed by a liberating, refreshing feeling, the peak of the experience. Repeat a few times. Now I'm relaxed and switch my hands to meditation mudra.
