Berserk
So I just watched:
Golden Age Chapter III - Advent
Ero, Guro, NTR, Dante's comedy, the path of the hero… it was all there. Griffith became a fallen angel. But god damn that female demon was sexy. I wonder how many people had nightmares? Also that fairy near the end represented light right? It just felt really out of place
TERA
So I went back to TERA again. I find it really boring. Just lots of:
1) Go here
2) Kill
3) Gather
The social aspect is limited too and completely separate from the game itself until you participate in guild battles at max level. Only then does the game begin to be fun? At least that's what I've heard. Until then it's just grind, grind, grind.
I think a good RPG first of all would let you become your character. Second, the world would be alive.
Third, you would need to interact with other players in the game to progress at a more reasonable speed.
Fourth, how about a game that doesn't rely on skill points? So that the only thing that matters is player skill.
Maybe I'm just jaded, but I'd rather watch and anime or read manga. Honestly the reason I'd play a MMO is for the interaction with other players. To the point that you could even make friends? Forget the list above. This should be the #1 priority. After all that's what a game is good for, bringing people together for a shared interactive experience. Something that's often difficult to do in IRL. For all the people in the world, I am really alone.
The 水商売
This thread is the continuation of:

So who would be interested in running a host club in Tokyo? I think there is a definite taste for Westerners in Japan, and a lack of representation in the 水商売 (water business) serving women. Meaning there is demand that we can supply. I'm thinking of an 'modern British-gentleman/007' theme with the hosts (male and female) actively entertaining / seducing the female customers of age. There will be private spaces for women who want more physical affection, but it is important to note this will not be, legally speaking, part of the job. Food, drinks, karaoke, dancing, live shows, legal gambling, and social games will all be on offer. The sale of drinks is where we will make the most money, that and tips. Tips are not demanded though, and service should not decline in their absence. For all customers other than adult women who are our priority, regular service like that found at say, a bar or a family restaurant will be provided. In general we will make three distinctions between customers: individual adult woman, groups of adult women, and all other customers. The space in the Club will be divided between these three.
I think there are a couple conditions here for success:
1)Learn Japanese. This is like the main barrier to entry for most westerners.
2)Exposure to females (more of a deal for male hosts). This I think is critical and what I will be focusing on once I get my own place. You need to just ignore whatever individual rejections and focus on numbers. Forget reading stuff, learn by experience to become a 'natural.'
3) Read stuff, all the PUA and NLP and psychology stuff. This contradicts #2 because if you don't do it nothing happens.
4) Look good / be healthy / fit. This is last for a reason, but still important. But again Japan is a different market. Feminine guys can succeed. Truly ugly guys, no. For female hosts, understand that in Japan, women dressing as men, to seduce women, is actually an established tradition.
5)Learn the laws, and master the logistics.
