Alright guys, which methods do you use when solving your cube? For 3x3x3, I really like Roux, and Heise for FMC. Anything bigger I use Cage, except for 4x4x4, which gets reduction > Roux.

Any other cubers out there? Any weird ass method users?

My method is a little unorthodox, I pretty much do what any normal person does and peel off all the stickers and put em' back on again.

I remember using a 4x4x4 once, those were dark days

If anyone is interested, I've dug up the old method I used to use for teaching people. It's very simplified, and relies on only 'move'.

The problem with this method is that it usually wrecks the stickers. Of course, you could just buy stickers, but I'd encourage people to seek the middle ground. An interesting puzzle can be had in looking up how to disassemble the cube, but not reading how to reassemble it, while it may take you far less time to get it back together than it would to solve it normally, it can still be satisfying, and the end result is the same as any other method.

It took me a very long time.

Disassembling a cube is way to much effort

That depends on how careful you are at taking them off

How exactly would you disassemble the cube? Would you just take a hammer and smash it to bits?

Rotate the top layer 45 degrees, and use something to pry the edge piece, the one in between the two corners, and pop it out. From there its pretty easy.

It was a puzzle trying to take it apart and put it back together, but not in a fun way. I don't usually build shit so the whole experience was quite grueling, however I can understand if people find some kind of enjoyment out of this

I'm curious, in what way was it grueling? I've known some people that had trouble figuring out how to get it together, but never too much trouble in actually doing it. I guess if you didn't have a table or something flat to work on it might be a little rough…

It was extremely slow and I didn't quite know what to do, even with the tutorials I found online. I'd rather just solve the cube rather than take it apart and rebuild it

Maybe you're just retarded?
