http://8archive.moe/qu/thread/929/You're up early in the morning and in between a simple, but filling breakfast and the morning paper, you brew Siji's elixir to dull the pain of her trauma on the short term, as well as the brew to enhance cognitive function, and mix the two together. There is no mention of Siji's parents' deaths in the newspaper, but that may just be because the press hasn't caught wind of it yet.
Siji is sleeping in, but given yesterdays potion that is hardly surprising. It does mean that Natas shows up while she's still sleeping though, which is convenient since you just have James install him in a room without having to explain why Siji slept over and the circumstances about it in general. After all, she deserves to be allowed to decide who gets told when. When she does awake, she is not much better than yesterday, being largely apathic and passive, simply going along with whatever motions you physically guide her to. After drinking and the elixir taking effect, she gets better, though she does seem a bit confused.
Siji: "I feel…. weird… Is this the same Elixir you gave me yesterday?"
Eona: "Well I tried to improve the formula." Which is true, just not the whole truth.
Siji: "So I'm your guinea pig?"
Eona: "Uh…" Truth be told, you hadn't considered that angle.
Siji smiles faintly "Don't worry. I know you're just trying to help. Besides, I would probably say yes to being your guinea pig if you asked me to. I trust you Eona."
That was… sweet if in a somewhat odd way. But enough about that, onwards to the matter at hand. "Thanks Siji. I was wondering… I know you told the constables about the things you saw yesterday, but do you want to talk about it with me?"
She shakes her head, not entirely unexpected, but you did hope. Prying more bluntly for details about it would be awkward to say the least and an opportunity to learn more might crop up during the day. Regardless, you can always try the direct approach later and nothing is likely to be lost for it. Which just leads to the question of what to do with her for now. One thing is certain though, you're not leaving her alone.
