It's been nearly ten years since you died. Many died in The Fall of Earth, but unlike most of them you could be reborn from a backup, a digital scan of your neural template saved on an offworld server. It's been five years since you were reborn, but your life has radically changed. When you first came to consciousness it was in a VR world and you were told that your skills were deemed useful enough to the Planetary Consortium for them to bring you back from data storage as an infolife entity, but that this would not be free. You were bonded to a term of indenture, one which finally ends tomorrow. For the past half-decade you have been a maintenance and security bot operator aboard a small station at Earth's L5 Lagrange Point. You do not own a morph (body) and work 12 hour shifts, spending the remaining 12 hours doing what you wish with your incredibly small salary in Credits and limited access to the Mesh (future-version of the internet). As an infolife entity you can put your program on sleep if you wish to simply not experience the time, but that always seems so wasteful. You don't actually need to sleep, not being a biological entity any more. When you are freed tomorrow you will be given a range of selection for habitats in the Planetary Consortium, an alliance of hypercorps in the inner-system, that you may join. As per the terms of your contract of indenture you will be granted a cheap morph, likely a synth or a splicer, although some habs cheap out and give spare flats or even cases to new citizens. Your ego-casting to the hab of your choice is also covered by the contract, as well as first and last month's rent in a room of your own and a month of backup insurance, just in case the worst happens before you can get back up on your feet, assuming your morph has feet. Your next shift on the station's outer hull starts in about 3 hours, after which you will report to HR to discuss your future and then probably to the VR breakroom for your going-away party. What you won't discuss with HR is your plan to escape the inner-system and head for the Anarchist habs of the Outer System, the Techno-Socialists of Titan, or the Anarcho-Capitalist Extropians of the Main Belt.

What is this character's name?
What was their original gender and culture when they were human?
Which of the three /leftypol/-oriented factions of EP do they sympathize with most?

And, most importantly, what are they gonna do with the next 3 hours? Most interesting/popular answers are the correct ones.

All this is a bit overwhelming for a quest.

A few more, keep going to crash and burn!

I'd like to point out that it does have direction. The PC is trying to escape the Inner System so they don't have to be a worker drone their whole life, which is especially shitty since they are effectively immortal.

Sorry but it may have been buried in that nonstop wall of text.

>Damn son.
>Had a look at the link.
>That shit is way complex. >Thumbs for trying, but it'll be really difficult to run that on an imageboard like /qu/.
>Maybe if you simplified it to run here, limited the choices to actions taken.
>It seems it would be easy if you simply made the character (Or a couple of characters to allow 'choice') and ran it from there it'd be easier to keep it going here.
