The wooden wheels of the wagon crackle softly against the stones on the ground. The trees rustle quietly, and in the distance you can hear the bustle of the city that you have now left behind. You slump down gently against the tanhide covering on the inside of your wagon, and move your book into your eyeline. The histories of the Archmage fascinate you, and so you do enjoy reading of them.

The lightning shooting at random from Jessop's hands crackles a lot louder. You do not know how he found his way onto the roof of the wagon, but he did. You sigh with some exasperation. Jessop is the man within your care. His mental capacities are… somewhat lacking. The well is charged, but there's no mana, if you understand. His very presence saddens you, as it almost always results in some kind of havoc. You despise the man, but for all your feelings towards him, you remain loyal and devoted to the maffer. If it was entirely up to you, you would abandon the fool. It's not up to you, though. It's up to the Archmage, the most powerful magi in the world. The Archmage chose you to accompany him to the Scholars Peak, and so you had to follow his commands, lest you be outcast by the magi the community.

You're not sure why the Archmage chose you. Maybe Jessop likes you? It's impossible to tell. You would simply kill the fool and be done with it, but there's one problem; you wouldn't kill the Archmage. Jessop, for all his flaws (which he has many of), is the most powerful magi in the world.

Destiny does enjoy it's jokes.

Suddenly, the smell of burning fills your nose. You glance up, and spot a crackling flame burning the top of your tanhide wagon cover. Jessop cackles maniacally on top of the wagon, likely at the stupidity he has unleashed. What do you do?

What you do decides what school of magic you specialise in. Keep in mind this will affect the entire quest.

A) Quench the fire with a simple dousing spell (Water school)

B) Blow out the using a simple blasting spell (Wind school)

C) Help spread the fire for some reason using a flare spell (Fire school)

D) Bring mud up from the sides of the roads to put out the flames (Earth school)

E) Run out the wagon (No magi school - loyal knight)

The majority choice in 5 posts decides.

Too much for this board at the moment, you'll never get it running if you wait that long. Make it three at most.

/Alright, three it is./

You aim your palms towards the ceiling of the wagon, and begin expelling flames in a series of violent plumes. The flares hit the cover again and again, and soon the fire has spread all around your caravan cover. You realize your mistake of staying inside the wagon fairly quickly, as you see you have effectively blocked your exit by setting the whole vehicle on fire, letting flames lick at the flaps to the wagon. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea? Well, hindsight is 20/20.

You have but a few seconds to consider your options in the situation. Do you…

A) Let the fire kill you, knowing you've been enchanted with Neverdeath hex and you'll come back as a skeleton

B) Burn a hole in the bottom of the wagon, creating a new escape route

C) Try and generate a Timestop spell, even whilst knowing the Chronomancy school has been lost for years

D) Attempt an impromptu Fire Mastery spell to move the flames away

E) Make your peace with the gods and let the flames kill you, ending your life

You aim your palms once more, this time at the base of the wagon. Flares once again burst out from your hands, making contact with the wooden floor. This time, however, you concentrate the flares into one spot, which quickly burns through the flooring and scorches a hole large enough for you to escape the wagon. You clutch your raging erection that you just notice you had, and dive through the hole to safety. You tumble rapidly onto the dirt floor, and the wagon continues burnining, and trundles to a smoldering stop a few meters away. Jessop has already dismounted, and stares at you blankly with an irritating smile on his face.

You consider your options.

A) Look for a nearby inn to stay at

B) Scorn Jessop for his foolishness

C) Kill Jessop and hide the body, having done with his antics

D) Wait for another caravan to pass so that you can hitch a lift

E) Begin walking the way to Scholars Peak

Deciding there's nothing else for it, you grab Jessop's arm, and begin walking in the direction of Scholar's Peak. He follows you with a few wails and moans, and much flailing of the arms. His childish behaviour irritates you so, and you exclaim out loud "Why do we even travel to the Peak?"

Suddenly, you feel very very alone. Your eyesight fades into blackness, and your senses dull. The world is cast into void. Total nothingness surrounds you, intoxicating as Sweetdew. You spend a few seconds in the empty space before an incredibly clear voice sounds in your head.

"Ask not why you travel, but first when. Surely an easier question?"

The world speeds back into your eyes with a slam so heavy, you lose consciousness.

"Wake up."

A) Wake up

B) Stay asleep
