I tried to put this over at /tg/ and they got buttmad, so I'm bringing it here:

As you can see, the game as already started, so pick from the available creatures in this post.

4 years ago I started Evo games over at halfchan's /tg/. I really loved them, but people always want the world to become more and more complicated, I just want to have a fun one-off game.

- I will post a picture of 3 creatures. You take one of the creatures and edit the picture in a program of your choice (always save as .png)

- When you edit the picture, you 'evolve' the creature. This can be a new limb, sensory organ, tail, etc.

- Post the picture here. If it has the same name it is an evolution of said creature. Declare weather or not it is a splinter-species.

- You may edit any creature you want, but you cannot edit the same creature twice in a row.

- There is no winning or losing, just having fun. Our goal is to create a fun new world full of creatures, not be an internet tough guy.

Let's begin. We are in a small pool. There is no other life around but ourselves. 3 creatures dominate this pool:

- Sy - A algae that just floats around gathering sunlight for energy

- Cip - Feeds on Sy. It is very fast.

- Roh - A voracious, yet inefficient predator. It whirls through the pool hoping to grab a Cip with its claws.

Hey it's friendly mcgee. Glad to see you actually did it OP.

Anyway: The Syt branch off again, making the Sytin. The Sytin washed up on the land surrounding the pool, and their leaves lose the sharpness but gain more area to catch more sun.

You can branch. You just can't alter an already evolved creature. Though I'm pretty loose on the rules.

I'll get to evolving it when I get home, but it will be a while before we can get onto land.

I'm upset everyone wanted this out of /tg/ we could have had so many more players. Why did they have to be such fags?

Sytin leafs shrink in size but become harder and start pressing into the ground to hold it in place it becomes sythin

Cip branches off into Kip. Its tail lengthens and becomes its main form of locomotion.

Yeah, it's just to have fun. No one can really claim ownership of the creatures, so you can use them for anything.

Halfchan /tg/ had an epidemic of quest threads that swallowed the board up, pretty much.

8ch /tg/ Doesn't allow them because it gets in the way of actual traditional game discussion.

Having a dedicated board for these things is much nicer in any case.

Seriously, though, I thought the same thing until they started talking about making more. One wouldn't be cluttering anything up, but a ton of evo games would crowd out the other threads.

Well it's irrelevant now. The board is made and there are at least a dozen posts a day. Not a lot, but it is generating OC at least. People also seem to like it.

This also would have been a one-off thread for kicks if /tg/ weren't such massive fags about it. Now I have a board and it is doing well, I have no complaints.
