If you are only going to do basic things just choose any that is free. I use gimp but I've heard paint.net is also really good, just download a bunch and see which one you like the most.

To all requestors: I know many people aren't extremely familiar with the terminology that fakers use, but asking for a "nudeshop" is going to get you either nothing, or the Frankenstein-looking titties (that are apparently being hand-painted in some of these shops) unless it's extremely easy for the faker to do.
A "nudeshop" is 100x more difficult to do (with good results) than a "headswap". It requires the faker to comb through dozens, if not hundreds, of photos to find a suitable nude that matches the body type and has the same lighting as in the photo you want shopped. And that's just finding a candidate photo, doesn't include processing the colors and tones, and masking.
tl;dr: just ask for a fake, if you want to get specific then by all means ask for a specific kind of fake. Just remember the more specific you are in your request the less likely it will be filled.

If you want to fake an xray then you're doing it wrong.
1: you gotta find and use a donor pic.
2. Learn how to use layers
3. reduce opacity and adjust curves to give it that "xray'd" look
4. Never ever hand draw anything, it looks fake as shit
5. Don't post a fake xray when the person asked for a real xray, or at the very least make sure to tell them it's a fake. If the pic can't be true xray'd (like 99% of pics) then tell them that. If you're posting fake-rays and they think it's real then you're just encouraging people to have unrealistic expectation of what can be true-xray'd. You're making the problem worse for people who do real x-rays.
Pic related: fake x-ray done in about 5 minutes. Not that great a job, but you get the idea. Don't get mad, every faker starts out the same way, by getting shit and no gratitude. If you want kudos go to a dedicated fakers forum. If you have questions then ask and I can help you.

4. I disagree. To do hand drawn, you have to practice hand drawn. If I don't do hand drawn I don't get anything out of it because I'm trying to learn how to paint photorealistically, not zombie shit together - I can already do that and it's exceedingly boring.
5. The image arrived already heavily processed with heavy diffuse and some kind of stylization, the results are going to be fake because the input is fake. The user was already told an ideal candidate for x-ray and produced the best he could, so I worked with it. While I get there's a technique to an x-ray that doesn't work on all images, I wouldn't argue an x-ray using that technique is any more "real" a result, because it washes out color just like any brush would and looks fake just the same.
I agree, I shouldn't have gotten pissy at you. I didn't realize how dead this forum is when I posted that, so I apologize for that. I suppose I'll just find another forum. Not interested in doing any more chop shop photography and I appreciate the offer, but I already know that stuff.
