Thank God I am a borderline genius at history and writing essays and my polysci class. I'm betting my life on getting an extremely high GPA and free ride to law school or top 50 law schools Or debt slavery.

I'm deeply confused by why I struggle with math. I got As in every other class of my college career, but I failed the first math class I took and then after a remedial class scored one point above what would have forced me to retake the math class a third time.

I think what killed me is that I had to study. I never took a note in a non-math class in my entire academic career because I have a neurological condition that makes writing, drawing, etc almost impossible for me. In math I was forced to figure out what notes were and what was worth writing down. In hindsight I should have applied for some sort of disability aid because when I would study for a test I literally could not read half the notes I took.

How do I teach myself math /r9k/? It seems very important in life but I cannot recall anything I learned in college/high school on that.

Get a basic algebra book and work through it.

Write down the things you are doing, show your work. Those are now your notes. If you're working with a formula or something, write down the formula each time you solve that particular problem, then plug your numbers in and work.

Unfortunately it's not that easy and some people just can't "get" math, apparently.

Unless you have connections and your name ends in -burg or -stein and you have the shekels to get through a TOP-TIER (and I mean top-tier as in not your local community small school) law school then you aren't gonna make it. Debt or not, Ive been a low wagekek and even briefly a double wagekek and I can tell you it's a shitty existence. I could actually see myself going full Rodge if I found myself being 30+ living like that. And even if what the job market demands isn't your ideal career, you will at least have a comfy existence and you can always start your own business later.

Try Khan Academy, work through shit at your own pace and with plenty of helpful resources. Math is a skill you can learn. Some people have a natural talent for it and some don't, true, but unless you're literally retarded (and I don't think you are) then with time and effort you can learn.

You don't have to learn trig or anything, but you should at least be able to do basic math.
