Never tell a girl you love her first, never. Even if she thinks she likes you, you saying it first will make her lose respect for you unless she is entirely enamored with you (and it's obvious she isn't, or else you wouldn't be friends with benefits–she would've snatched you up and claimed you quickly).

Not trying to be harsh here, and i know this shit sucks. Info coming straight from a female though, so i can tell you in most situations this is accurate.

I'd say if the sex is worth it, emotionally distance yourself and use her as a stepping stone sometime in the future. This is harder than you'd think, though. The best course of action is to use this experience to learn and move on as soon as possible.

I've been in a 10 month on-and-off relationship and recently been in a 4 month relationship. The first girl told me that she loved me first. The second, I told her first. The second girl dumped me because I was a douchebag. Not because I was a "beta" or a "nice guy". If a man is sexually attracted to you, being a sweet romantic guy is a plus. Just don't be clingy. When I was a sexually inexperienced guy, I was clingy/needy as fuck. But after I started getting laid, I cooled down and became too aloof if anything. My last two girlfriends complained that I don't text them enough. Hence the whole me being a douchebag thing.

I've dated guys who said they loved me first, but the one relationship who lasted is the one who didn't. It's not some pua bullshit. I'm speaking from personal experience–it's a bad idea to do unless you're SURE she's gonna say it back. I always felt a little weird any time some guy said it first. My reactions ranged from slightly embarrassed (but happy) reciprocation all the way to disgust, depending on the person. It's just a risky move. This is not coming from a "virgin" or "sexually inexperienced guy," just a random girl who passes through from time to time for some fucked reason.

Do they? I'm kinda an aspie so i don't run like a lot of other people, but i expect girls would usually say it first (whether they mean it or not) tending to be more emotional. Being "fucked" in the head makes me more stoic than most females though, i expect i say it way later than most.
